Look me in the eyes under expanding winter skies...

Wow, what a glorious few days! Sunny bank holidays?! Whatever next? I am sitting writing this post wearing something I haven't worn for at least six years - TROUSERS! Yes, I ventured into the world of cropped trousers last week and haven't looked back since. I've only bought one pair (so far) but have several bookmarked for when I have some money... These are the ones I've got:
Trousers: River Island, Tee: H&M, Studded pumps: Topshop, Fish necklace: Accessorize, Squirrel necklace: H&M, Flower bracelet: Accessorize.

I also tried on these two pairs, but didn't buy them. The first pair are actually supposed to be full length trousers, but since I have very long legs they actually look cropped. I think they could do with being rolled up a little more though.
Trousers: Dorothy Perkins, Top: Dorothy Perkins, Brogues: Topshop
Trousers: River Island, Top: Cath Kidston for Uniqlo, Brogues: Topshop, Necklace: Tatty Devine via eBay, Rings: eBay

Another thing I've got into recently is crackle nail polish. I bought the Barry M black crackle polish AGES ago but it just sat in my make up bag unused until I decided to use it in the week. I've worn it over Models Own Feeling Blue and Collection 2000 Hip Hop, each time adding a coat of Seche Vite as I prefer a glossy crackle effect rather than the matte effect that the polish alone gives.

Penultimate photo for today is a terrible changing room picture of my new River Island dress, which my mum bought for me in Birmingham on Thursday. The picture washes out the colour somewhat - it's actually a vibrant bright orange shade:

Final photo for today (I promise!) shows my running triumph from Thursday - I ran just over 5km! I am at the end of week six of my nine week programme, so I think I am doing pretty well and am therefore entitled to feel a little smug!

Well, that's all from me today folks! I hope you are all well and enjoying the weekend.

NOTD: Barry M Mushroom

A lovely, well, mushroom-coloured shade. Goes on smoothly and is opaque with just one coat. I feel very grown up with this on my nails, especially as I have spent most of this week with each nail painted a different colour.

NOTD: Barry M Blueberry Ice Cream

This is the shade I meant to buy last week when I bought Pure Turquoise. It looks quite pale in the bottle, but on my nails it's pretty much the same as the turquoise shade. When I think of blueberry ice cream, I think of a very pale, powder blue, but Barry M obviously think differently. Take a look...

Nice colour, but the name is a bit misleading. As usual with Barry M, this went on easily and dried quickly.

NOTD: Barry M Pure Turquoise

I'll start by telling you that I actually bought this shade by mistake... Whoops. I actually wanted the powder blue shade, but a combination of the harsh lighting in Boots and me not feeling well at all (kidney infection, now almost departed) led to me choosing this one by mistake. I actually really like it though; it's vivid, long-lasting and gives great coverage with just one coat. One thing I don't like - on the base, it says "pure torquoise". Call me stupid if I'm wrong, but isn't it spelt "turquoise"?!

Here it is on my fingers;

I picked up the powder blue shade today (think it's called Blueberry Ice Cream) so I'll report back shortly!

NOTD: Barry M Coral

I'll start this post with a FACT: I LOVE Barry M nail polishes. They have a huge range of colours, are readily available, are long-lasting and, best of all, they are really cheap! I actually don't mind paying a lot for nail polishes as I prefer to buy things that last and find that, generally, the more expensive the nail polish, the better it is. But Barry M is definitely an exception to the rule, and therefore I have lots of BM nail polishes in my collection.

I bought today's polish at Bristol airport at the start of the month, it was one of two I bought at they were 2 for £5 in Superdrug so it would have been rude not to indulge... The shade is "Coral - 296" and I bought it as to me it is summer in a bottle. I chose to apply it this morning as summer has all but disappeared in the Midlands and I wanted to be reminded of sunnier times! Please excuse back-to-front photo, for some reason my computer takes mirror-image photos! Also, please excuse my face - I got rained on!
